Gold weight units around the world
Gold is one of the few commodities where the unit you trade in tells you where you are. London and New York quote troy ounces. Mainland China and Hong Kong use the tael — but they're two different weights. India and Pakistan price per tola. Vietnam uses the lượng, broken into 10 chỉ. Thailand has its own baht weight (15.244 g, not the currency). South Korea sells gift gold in don (3.75 g). This converter handles all of them.
How conversion works
Every conversion goes through the troy ounce as the pivot. To get from tola to lượng, the tool first converts tola → troy ounce → lượng. This avoids rounding errors compounding across exotic units and matches how spot-price feeds (USD/oz) flow through to retail receipts in your local unit.
